From Salvador, it’s 428 km to Lençóis and 448 km to Palmeiras, both major access towns with daily buses. To reach Capão, it’s 18 km from Palmeiras via a dirt road — vans run this route throughout the day

I did the Vale do Pati Crossing in Chapada Diamantina, and it was simply incredible! Everything was conducted with great competence, respect, and care. I’m 44 years old and have been traveling solo for some time, and I can truly say that the Pati Crossing is transformative — you start one way and finish as a better version of yourself.
